400m2 flat roof fully stripped and re-laid with a 3 felt traditional build-up system
Issues encountered were the roof had been overlaid multiple times previously with areas of felt needing to be lifted up to 14 layers of felt in areas which was a considerable thickness that needed to be cut away with reciprocating saws.
Half the roof had a timber deck which had multiple areas of decaying and timber boards which needed to be removed and replaced. The other half of the roof had a concrete deck which needed primed before the new felt buildup. The existing cupola needed stripped back and redundant parts removed to make it more straightforward to keep watertight.
New timber skirts added to the cupola to mitigate further water ingress from the underside. New timber hatches supplied and installed to replace failed existing. New epoxy resin installed to the railings that were loose to hold in place.
New raggles cut into stone work and lime mortar applied to the sand stone
